Our
Story

Blair County Community Action Program (BCCAP) was incorporated on June 8, 1965, as a private, non-profit corporation under Section 501 (c) (3). BCCAP assembles and directs federal and local resources to address the multidimensional influences which impact the low-to-moderate income families and individuals of Blair County. Blair County Community Action Program’s role is to encourage our constituents to develop their talents to better themselves, their family, and their community. BCCAP helps its constituents secure the tools and training necessary to meet their needs and permit them to take place in mainstream society. BCCAP has provided over 50 years of uninterrupted direct and referral services to its constituents, functioning as a conduit for federal, state, and local resources while addressing the causes and conditions of poverty in Blair County.

Get to Know Us
