Welcome to Blair County Community Action Program, where we truly care about the well-being of individuals and families in our community.

Weatherization

The Blair County Community Action Program (BCCAP) Services Blair County with residential weatherization services for low-income individuals.

​

BCCAP Weatherization and Energy Services is comprised of three separate residential weatherization programs. Each program has specific criteria that are used to determine client eligibility.

Blair county community Action + ceNTER FOR coMMUNITY aCTION

Blair County Community Action will begin to transition our programs to become a part of Center for Community Action.

Center for Community Action currently serves Bedford, Cambria, Fulton, and Indiana Counties. Center for Community Action coordinates, partners, and provides services and resources to low-income individuals and families, to promote self-sufficiency; and fosters community and economic development in our service area.

School Kids

The Mountain Lion Backpack Program is “Equipping students to be physically and mentally prepared to learn.” The MLBP Program feeds over 1,200 Altoona Area Elementary school children every week. The program is part of the national Feeding America Network BackPack Program.
